Lori rugs are a finer variant of the Gabbeh.

Lori rugs traditionally feature imaginative geometric designs that are colorfully designed. Modern lori today are mostly designed more simply with monochrome designs.

This hand-knotted Lori rug has a dense, relatively high pile. The sheep's wool that is used for the pile of the Lori carpets is of particularly high quality and contains fat. Lori rugs are very comfortable and hard-wearing. Traditionally, Lori rugs - like the Gabbeh - were used for sleeping.

The pile of the Lori rugs made of sheep's wool is dyed with natural colors and hand-spun.
